 Forensic Programmes .
 Forensic (Law Enforcement Diver).
This introductory programme or otherwise called Basic Forensic Diver programme has been developed to meet the needs of Divers currently employed as Police/Forensic divers. It may also be used as an "entry level" programme for those wishing to consider Police/Forensic diving.

The DMT programme is based upon the stated objectives and/or standards of the following organisations...
The United Kingdom, Health and Safety Executive Diving at Work Regulations (Police Diving).
United States Model (Florida).
The National Academy of Police Divers (NAPD, USA).
The Public Safety Diving Association (PSDA, USA)  and

This programme is taught by Law Enforcement (serving and retired) who hold Instructor status with the NAPD and related Staff of the DMT Training Group.

The completion of this programme is mandatory for those wishing to acquire Instructor status in Forensic Diving. This 80 hour programme covers the Basics to a high standard of Competency. Graduates are provided with a detailed Certificate of Competency and Application for Membership of the National Association of Police Divers is recommended following completion of the programme.

 Instructor Programme for Forensic Diving.

The Instructor Programme is again the product of extensive research and has been finalized in a Competency format. The Instructor Standards have met and/or exceeded the requirements of the "Diving at Work Regulations"
in the United Kingdom and the European Community (EEC); the National Academy of Police Divers in the USA; published standards for Australia, South Africa, the UAE and New Zealand.

Entry to this programme is restricted and candidates must meet the requirements of the programme which include...

Certification as a Diver to the standard of their employing organisation (not less than the DMT Forensic Diver - Basic).
A Certificate of Medical Fitness to Dive issued by a State / Provincial / Country Certified Doctor approved to issue Medical Certificates relating to Diving. 
In the absence of this Medical Certificate a Medical Examination will be conducted by a DMT Training Group approved Doctor. If any of the above conditions are not met a prospective candidate will be rejected.
Further, should a candidates medical condition be such that they are a risk to themselves or others, the candidate will be excluded from further training until such time as their medical condition meets the required minimum published standard.
